Where are Lafourche leaders?
April 2015 makes 5 years since the BP Oil Spill disaster.
On the 5th anniversary, I was watching the local news. The newscasters were talking to our neighboring parishes’ leaders about the recovery of the seafood industry and how funds are being used to help with the recovery of the marshes. They also brought up how tar balls are still showing up on he beaches of Grand Isle.
Not surprisingly, none of Lafourche Parish leaders went on air to talk about how Lafourche Parish is recovering.
I thought we had a beach in Port Fourchon. I know we have marshes. I guess BP fixed everything in Lafourche Parish cause you sure don’t hear our parish leaders asking for things to get done.
It makes a voter wonder what the heck is going on.
