UPDATE: Rewards Offered to Help Find Missing Choupic Man

Rewards are being offered for information related to the disappearance of 31-year-old Chad Michael Babin of 1526 Highway 304 in Choupic.

Crime Stoppers Bayou Region is offering a reward of up to $1,000 if information provided leads to an arrest in this case. At this time, investigators say it is not known whether fowl play was involved in his disappearance.

The family and friends of Chad Babin are also privately offering a reward of $22,000 for any information, which leads to his discovery. The group says they are only concerned with finding Babin at this point, and so, they indicated the reward is being offered regardless of the circumstances of which he is found.

For convenience, Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre is asking that all tips be submitted anonymous through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region. Anyone with information on Babin's disappearance or his current whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Bayou Region at 1-800-743-7433 or by texting "GIVEATIP" plus your message to 274637. Tips can also be submitted using the TipSubmit Mobile application or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org

Babin has been missing since Friday, May 1. Patrol deputies, detectives and volunteers from the local fire departments began searching for Babin on Sunday, May 3, when the family initially reported him missing. The search continued through Wednesday, May 13, with no new leads on Babin's whereabouts.

Babin is described as 5'10" tall, and he weighs around 150 pounds. He has a fair complexion, brown eyes, short brown hair, as well as a goatee and a mustache.
