Two Men Arrested After Agents Seize Cash, Drugs And Guns

Two men were arrested after agents discovered them with drugs and firearms at a Raceland residence. Javiri Bradley, 32, of 173 Fontinelle Street in Lockport and Jeremiah Lyons, 27, of 3722 Hwy. 1 (Lot 2) in Raceland were arrested Tuesday, April 16th and face drug and weapons charges.

Tuesday afternoon, deputies were dispatched to a mobile home on Williams Street after learning marijuana had been seen at the residence. When they arrived, deputies discovered Bradley and Lyons sitting outside. Lyons was found to have over $2,800 cash in his possession.

Through investigation, agents learned the property belonged to one of Lyons’ relatives. During a search of the mobile home, agents discovered approximately 460 grams of marijuana, some of which was packaged in small amounts, consistent with being prepared for distribution.

They also discovered over 7.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine, two bottles of suspected liquid promethazine/codeine, and various drug paraphernalia. Agents also recovered three handguns, including a fully loaded revolver. The street value of all the drugs seized was over $3,000.

Both Bradley and Lyons were charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and crack cocaine, possession of codeine and drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance. Bradley was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and is being held in lieu of $165,250 bond as set by Judge Jerome J. Barbera III.

Lyons, meanwhile, is being held in lieu of $65,250 bond. Both men are also being held for the Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole.
