Two Arrested For Home Invasion, Armed Robbery In Thibodaux
Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced two people have been arrested after a home invasion and robbery at a Thibodaux residence.
Cody Matherne, 36, of Cut Off and Katie Hendrix, 34, of Grand Isle were arrested after admitting to their involvement in the crime.
At 5:15 p.m. on Friday, January 30, deputies responded to a home invasion in the Thibodaux area. Upon arrival, a man and a woman, later identified as Katie Hendrix and Cody Matherne, had arrived at the residence dressed in dark clothing. They entered the residence without permission and began beating a woman inside the residence and using a stun gun on her as well. They eventually fled the residence with several items, including a laptop, cell phones, and cash.
Through investigation, detectives located Hendrix and Matherne at a store in Galliano and they were transported to the South Lafourche Sub-station for questioning. Both admitted to their involvement in the crime, and detectives recovered some of the items taken from the incident.
Hendrix and Matherne were both charged with armed robbery and home invasion and are being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 bond as set by Judge Christopher J. Boudreaux.
