Three people have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery occurring the night of Tuesday, April 23 in Lockport.
Officers arrested Destiny Viteaux, 18, of Raceland, Brison Bourg, 21, of Lockport, and Jared Falgout, 37, also of Lockport.
Just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Lockport Police officers and deputies with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery in the 1000 block of Lafourche Street.
A man in his thirties reported that two men, later identified as Bourg and Falgout, had entered his home and demanded money. One of the men had pointed a gun at him. The victim said the men tied him up, but he was able to break free and call for help.
When officers arrived, they searched the residence, but the suspects had fled the scene. Officers observed that wires to a surveillance system had been cut and the residence was in disarray. The victim reported that approximately $100 in cash and a laptop were missing and likely stolen.
Upon further investigation, officers learned Destiny Viteaux had contacted the victim asking for money prior to the robbery. Viteaux was dropped off at the house, and soon after, the two men entered to commit the robbery. Officers made contact with Viteaux and discovered evidence that she had assisted the two men in the robbery.
Destiny Viteaux was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux, and was charged with Armed Robbery. Her bail is set at $200,000.
Brison Bourg was arrested by Louisiana State Police in Terrebonne Parish Wednesday afternoon. He was booked in Terrebonne Parish before being transferred to Lafourche Parish where his bail will also be set at $200,000.
Jared Falgout was transported to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex where he was charged with Armed Robbery and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bond was set at $250,000.
