Thelma C. Gisclair, 92, a native of Galliano and a resident of Lockport passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 5:23 a.m.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday, September 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano with mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m., with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Dantin and wife Rita; daughter, Deanna Blanchard and husband Claude; step daughter, Deanna Guidry, 6 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin Joseph Dantin; second husband, Theotime J. Gisclair; son Dennis Dean Dantin; daughter, Lois Thibodaux and husband Sheldon; parents Lufroid and Pauline Guidry Cheramie; brothers Renis Cheramie, Rene Cheramie; sisters Edelia Eymard, Felanise Gisclair and grandson, Braden.
She loved her church and was a life-long member of the Altar Society. She was blessed, by God with creativity and incredible inner strength. She excelled as a seamstress, and worked much of her life caring for children who all knew her as Mon Mon Tel.
