The Balcony reaps rewards of popular Food Network show
It was more than just fresh paint and new flooring – it was giving a new lease on life for a long-standing staple in the Larose community.
Though much detail regarding the value of the cost of renovations and comments from the Restaurant: Impossible and Balcony representatives were limited, it was clear that the generosity and hospitality that the residents of Lafourche showed greatly impacted the success of the restaurant’s reopening on November 22.
Per contracts with Food Network, posts and discussion regarding the renovations have been kept to a minimum until the episode featuring The Balcony airs. However, based on the word of patrons who have attended the Larose favorite, the quality of both the food and the atmosphere has increased “beyond measure”.
According to one source, “The food was always good, but now it’s even better, and now we want to stay and enjoy rather than just leave.”
“You can tell people want to be here,” another patron said.
In the coming months, the Restaurant: Impossible team will be checking in and ensuring that the changes they’ve made continue to be successful for the small business that was on the brink of closing. The ultimate goal for them was to make sure that the businesses that are the backbone of America, especially where people of the community gather and share meals together, remain sustainable and lasting long after the show airs.
You can catch Restaurant: Impossible on Food Network. The newest season, which features The Balcony, will begin airing Thursday, December 26 at 9:00 p.m.
