SLHS Variety Show needs input from Veterans
All U.S. Veterans and those presently serving, the South Lafourche High School Choir and Drama Department need your assistance. They are in the midst of planning their 2015 SLHS Variety Show, and the show will be in honor of all the military men and women. You have sacrificed so much for us and our country, so it is time we pay tribute to you.
Veterans Day is November 11th, however, you deserve to be honored everyday because you have chosen the ultimate sacrifice. Your selflessness is the reason we are able to breathe freely each and every day. Although our show does not take place until April 17th, 18th, and 19th, we do need to begin writing the story. This year they are asking you to help us write this story.
They would greatly appreciate if you could please answer the following questions and mail them in to SLHS Choir and Drama Dept., c/o Tansy Colby, 16911 E. Main St., Cut Off, LA 70345. Thank you for all you have done and still do to make our country safe for all.
Which branch of the armed forces did you serve?
During what time did you serve or presently serving, and what war?
What is your happiest memory from your service?
What is your saddest memory from your service?
What was your favorite song (i.e. lifted your spirits, made you think of home, etc.) during your time of service?
What was your favorite television show/movie during your time of service and why?
What advice would you give the youth of today?
We encourage you to share any memorable experience during your time of service.
