Rose N. Gaspard, 84, a native of Jean Charles Island and resident of Galliano passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 10, 2016. Visitation will take place at Our Lady of Prompt Succor on Tuesday, November 15 from 9 a.m. until service time. Funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m. with burial following at Cheramie Cemetery

Mrs. Rose is survived by her children, Patterson “Pooch” Gaspard Jr. and wife Connie and Chris Gaspard and wife Evette; grandchildren, Nikki Cheramie (Dustin), Natalie Bouziga (Lee), Jacob Gaspard, Kristie Callais (Corey), Greg Gaspard (Annie), and Robby Gaspard (Kesti); great grandchildren, Devin, Nadiya, Sophia, Jean-Eric, Cy, Dane, Dusti Jo, Alexis, Alaina, Owen, Matthew, and Logan; brothers, Jesty, Frank, Harry, and Russell Naquin.

Mrs. Gaspard was preceded in death by her husband, Patterson Gaspard Sr.; parents, Nelson and Colastique Naquin; daughter, Gwenda Gaspard Rachal; great grandchild, Michael Gaspard; brother, Wilbert Naquin; and sisters, Phyllis Williams and Semonia Lefleur.

Mrs. Rose was always smiling and laughing, loved to fish, cooking for the family, family get together’s and spoiling her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will never forget her infectious smile.
