R. “Curley” Carlisle, 84, a native of Cottondale, FL and a resident of Lockport, LA, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, at First Baptist Church of Lockport. Religious services will be at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
He is survived by his companion, Donna Creal; sons, Richard (Dianne) Carlisle, Michael (Renee) Carlisle, Russell (Mykah) Carlisle; daughters, Debra Carlisle, Nita (Matt) Boudreaux; grandchildren, Evette Boudreaux, Max Carlisle; 6 other grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and his dog, Capone.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and Clara Carlisle; and brother, Edward Carlisle, Jr.
He was the owner and operator of Carlisle Equipment Company. In his later years he enjoyed being involved with his cattle. He was a man with a big beautiful heart and always saw the good in people.
