Roland Anthony Arcement, Sr., 88, died on January 4, 2013, a lifelong resident of Lockport. Married on January 23, 1943 to Euna Mae Bourgeois Arcement, wife of 69 years.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, January 12 at 10 a.m. at the Holy Savoir Catholic Church in Lockport. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. till funeral time on Saturday.
He is survived by son, Roland A. Arcement, Jr. and wife Evelyn; daughters, Patricia Scott, Julie Matherne and husband Buddy, Mary Frances Louviere and husband Pete, Mary Margaret Arcement and Theresa Knight and husband Dee Dee; sister, Catherine Arceneaux; 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by father, Etienne Felix Arcement and mother, Katherine Malbrough Arcement; brothers, Clarence, Russell, Wilbur and Guy; sister, Mildred Klien; grandson, “Baby” Knight; son in laws, Michael W. Scott and John Wayne Bergeron, Sr. and granddaughter in law, Dianna Scott.
He was a disabled World War II Army Veteran, lifetime member of the Lockport American Legion and retired staff manager from American General Life (formerly National Life & Accident Insurance Co.).
Roland dedicated his life to God, his wife, Euna, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an avid duck carver, loved music especially playing his keyboard, loved to cook and bake, always loved a good joke and could repair anything from a rock to a rocket ship.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Holy Savior Church or the American Legion Post #83 of Lockport.
