Robert Anthony “Bobby” Gisclair, 65, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at his residence.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, January 19, at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, January 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
He is survived by his wife Maria “Cida” Gisclair; sons, Ulysses and Diego Gisclair; brother, James “Jimmy” Gisclair and his wife Debbie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulysses and Ida G. Gisclair.
Bobby authored Singing To The Lions, produced and wrote a French play titled, Blanche Neige, which helped bring French back to the area. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a world traveler and cultural connoisseur who spoke several languages. He was a singer, musician and friend to all.
Falgout Funeral Homes was in charge of the arrangements.
