Reward offered in investigation into bull death

A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest of the person or persons responsible for the death of a bull in the Cut Off area last month.

On December 27, deputies responded to an area just off LA Highway 3235 near West 54th Street in Cut Off reference to a bull being found dead by the owner.

The bull was located in a pasture outside the South Lafourche Levee system. It was found to have suffered a small wound near its ribs, and the cause of the wound is unknown to investigators at this time. The owner reportedly heard several gunshots in the area on December 24, but no projectile was recovered from the animal. The bull was valued at several thousand dollars.

Anyone with any information in this case is asked to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433 or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org.

Tips can also be submitted using the P3 Tips app on your mobile device. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.ß
