Raceland Teen Arrested for Sugarland Subdivision Burglaries
Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of a Raceland teenager for two burglaries in a Raceland subdivision. Jordan Folse (19, W/M) was arrested on Saturday and admitted to his involvement in the crimes.
On Thursday, February 26, detectives began investigating two burglaries in the Sugarland Subdivision in Raceland. One of the burglaries occurred at the clubhouse of Sugarland Country Club. A window on the building was shattered, and a safe containing cash had been stolen along with several bottles of alcohol and other assorted items. The safe and other stolen items were later located on the golf course. The other burglary occurred at a residence in the 200 block of Sycamore Street wherein a firearm and jewelry were stolen.
During the course of the investigation, detectives developed Jordan Folse as a suspect. Folse had been arrested on February 10 for a burglary in the Lockport area. Detectives obtained a search warrant for Folse’s residence and made contact with him there. During a search of the residence, detectives discovered items stolen from the Country Club as well as the firearm and other items taken from the private residence. During questioning, Folse admitted to both burglaries.
Folse was placed under arrest and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he was booked with Simple Burglary and Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling. He is being held in lieu of $30,000 bond as set by Judge John E. Leblanc.
