Parish website offers a bevy of features
Lafourche Parish Government wants to make local residents aware of the many useful features available on lafourchegov.org.
Along with the free eNotification system, which offers users the ability to have news and press releases, road and bridge closures and emergency updates delivered to them electronically, the Website also provides forms, budgetary information and contact numbers for various departments housed in Mathews and Thibodaux.
So how can you get the information you seek in the easiest way possible?
Well, when it comes to current news and emergency updates, eNotification is one of your best tools. Signing up for this free service is as simple as finding and clicking on the blue tab on the top of our home page. After following several prompts, you will receive a confirmation email verifying you are signed up for the service. In terms of finding other useful information such as contact numbers or forms, scroll through the various tabs and subsections to locate department pages, while paying particular attention to the Search function and tab called I Want To…
The Search box and I Want To… tab will succeed in both directing you quickly to where you want to go on the site as well as giving you the power to report things such as a street light, drainage or garbage issue.
Another tab that can help aid residents and out-of-towners alike in their understanding of the parish is the Visitors tab. This tab lists boat launch as well as park and walking track locations, among other things.
For any questions about navigating the site, call the Information Technology department at (985) 493-6603.
