Online Payments for Tickets and Fines Now Accepted at LPSO.net
Sheriff Craig Webre is pleased to announce that the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s office is now accepting online payments for tickets and fines. This means anyone receiving a traffic ticket, for example, that chooses to simply pay their fine can do so online at our website: www.LPSO.net.
“We are happy to announce that people can now pay their tickets and fines conveniently online,” said Sheriff Webre. “This has been one of the most requested services, and it’s something we have been developing for some time. This is just another example of the ways our website continues to evolve to serve the ever-changing needs of the public in the digital age.”
Most tickets and fines issued for the 17th Judicial District (unincorporated areas of Lafourche Parish) are available to be paid online 10 business days after receipt. To note whether your ticket is in the 17th Judicial District, simply check the top of the ticket near the word “Court.” The ticket is only eligible if it is paid before the payment due date and if there is no mandatory court appearance. For those tickets carrying a mandatory court appearance, those can be paid once the individual appears in court, and there is a final disposition from the court.
To pay a ticket online, simply click the “PAY FINES” button on the homepage of www.LPSO.net. You will be given further instructions and directed to an online search portal. You can search for your ticket or fine by entering your name. You can also search by using your driver’s license number, citation number, or your court docket number if applicable.
A convenience fee of 2.50% ($1.95 minimum) of the payment amount is charged by Value Payment Systems for using this service. An additional $1.00 provider service fee will be added to the convenience fee. Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards are accepted.
Again, please allow 10 business days after receiving the ticket for it to be made available for payment on the website. Once payment is made online, please allow 3 days for payment processing. If you have any concerns about your payment, please contact the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (985) 449-4429.
