Officials Unveil New Rodeo Branding, Website and Partnership; Name Rodeo Admiral for 2015

Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo officials recently announced the 2015 Rodeo Admiral while unveiling new branding, a redesigned website at a new address, and a new partnership to usher in a new era.

Eddie Callais has been named Admiral for the 67th Annual Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo which will take place July 2, 3 and 4, at Moran’s Marina in Fourchon. A lifelong resident of South Lafourche, Callais serves on the board of directors for the rodeo, as well as several other local non-profit organizations including the Lafourche Chamber of Commerce, Lafourche Chamber Foundation, and the Fourchon Oilman’s Association.

Callais has spent his entire professional career as an employee of Vision Communications where he was named Employee of the Year in 2009. He is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Lafourche and was most recently recognized by Best of Lafourche as one of the top ”Forty under Forty” in the parish.

Rodeo officials also announced a new partnership with the Lafourche Chamber Foundation, the non- profit wing of the Lafourche Chamber of Commerce. This partnership provides the rodeo with combined resources to provide a bigger, better annual event. In turn, therefore, the new partnership will allow for continued support of higher education for the youth of the community.

Callais expressed his excitement about the new partnership with the Lafourche Chamber Foundation. “I believe rodeo participants will see the benefits of this new partnership immediately at this year’s rodeo,” said Callais. “I am humbled and honored to serve as the 2015 Admiral, and I encourage everyone to come out to the rodeo for great music, food, and drinks while enjoying our local sportsman’s paradise.”

Officials also unveiled new branding for the annual rodeo featuring a full-color logo and a revamped, modern website at the rodeo’s new address: www.fourchontarponrodeo.com.

The weigh scales for the 67th Annual Golden Meadow-Fourchon Tarpon Rodeo will be open Friday and Saturday, July 3 and 4. Live music, food and drinks will be available on those dates under the pavilion, and the annual King of the Catch Cook-Off will take place on Friday, July 3.
