Nancy M. Terrebonne, 81, a native and resident of Golden Meadow was called home to Christ on December 17, 2013 at 8:30 a.m.

A private Christian burial will be held at a later date at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow on Saturday, December 21st.

She is survived by her brother, Jimmy Terrebonne and wife Thelma; sister in laws, Alice Terrebonne and Lena Terrebonne; nephew, John Cuneo who she lived with for many years until her passing and who was her main caregiver; niece, Sharon Cuneo Pedeaux who was also her main caregiver. She has 7 nieces, 6 nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews and several great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominique and Melina Lafont Terrebonne; sisters, Melanese Louviere, Cecelia Cheramie, Beatrice Cuneo, Elizabeth Galjour and Peggy Theriot; brothers, Claydomire Terrebonne and Paul Terrebonne; brothers in law, Charlie Louviere, Sr., Dominic Galjour, Randolph Cheramie, Hanson Cuneo and Nacis Theriot; nieces, Rachel Cheramie Gosnel and Paula Galjour Broussard; nephew, Charles Louviere, Jr.; and great niece, Elizabeth Broussard Basulito.

Nancy worked for 35 years at Lafourche Telephone Company until her retirement. She was a caregiver for many family members. Nancy was always helpful and compassionate to all her family and anyone she met. She enjoyed spending time with family members and taking pictures of them. She had a great love for movies and the arts and also enjoyed reading, especially the word of God. Nancy was a true Christian in every sense of the word. Her life was a testament of Christianity. She has taught us many things and loved us in many ways that will on in us forever. Nancy has truly been an angel sent by God to her whole family and friends. She will be sadly missed but will
