Museum plans New Year's Eve bash
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The National World War II Museum is planning a 1940s-themed New Year's Eve celebration in its U.S. Freedom Pavilion.
There will be dining and dancing to the museum's swing band, entertainment by the Victory Belles singing troupe and a performance by the cast of the musical Jump, Jive and Wail: The Music of Louis Prima.
Reservations are required for the Dec. 31 evening of activities. The museum suggests that those attending consider dressing in 1940s styles.
Ticket information is available online at www.stagedoorcanteen.org by calling 504-528-1943.
