Mervin P. Trosclair, 77, a native of Larose, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015.
Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 9, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic with burial to follow at Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery in Lockport.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Merlin Trosclair; daughters, Paulette T. Alario (Craig), Janiece T. Carlos (Woody); grandson, Shane Alario (Gretchen); great-grandchildren, Collin and Sadie Alario; brothers, Lloyd and John Trosclair; sisters, Lois Allemand and Joyce Hebert.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Philbert & Ida Fonseca Trosclair; brothers, Fleming, Abel, Freddie, Irvin & Philbert Trosclair, Jr.; sisters, Lydia Allemand, Shirley Bonvillian, Emily Cheramie & Pearl Bourgeois.
Mervin was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping. He loved to dance and also loved spending quality time with his family and friends. Mr. Trosclair was known as the filé man and in lieu of flowers the family request donation to charities of your choice.
