Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at a 2:00 p.m. with a mass of Christian Burial in St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville for Mary David, age 60, the former Mary Broussard, who passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at her residence in Arnaudville.

Interment will be in St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville.

Mary was a native of Cut Off and a resident of Leonville where she was a parishioner of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. She was employed with Interlink Communications for ten years and later Guidroz Jewelry for ten years. Mary lived in joy and spread joy to all who knew her. She was artistic and loved making jewelry and painting. She had a passion for making things beautiful and would leave her mark wherever she went. She enjoyed tending to animals and fishing. The time she treasured most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her fiancé, the love of her life, Patrick Trahan of Lafayette; one son, Michael David and his fiancée, Amber Cormier, of Leonville; one daughter, Salina Stelly and her husband, Jason, of Arnaudville; one step-son, Patrick Trahan and his wife, Dawn, of Leonville; three brothers, Matthew Broussard and his wife, Gayle, of Breaux Bridge, David Broussard and his wife, Patsy, of Larose, and Maurice Broussard and his wife, Deborah, of AR; one sister, Melissa Tauzin, of Lafayette; and ten grandchildren, Daniel Stelly, Jamie Stelly, Syrus Cormier, Kaiser Guidroz and, Anzlee Cormier, Morgan Trahan, Peyton Trahan, Rylie Trahan, Bailee Lanclos and Dawson Lanclos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Broussard and the former Earline Banquer.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. Friday until service time on Friday.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to their family members and caregivers whom devoted their time to taking care of their mother during her illness.
