Lockport Man Wanted for Attempted Murder Following Shooting at His Home
A Lockport man is wanted for attempted murder following a shooting incident Monday morning. Tony Clark is wanted for allegedly shooting another man in the stomach during an argument.
Just after 10:15 a.m. on Monday, March 2, deputies responded to a report of a shooting at a residence in the 200 block of East Lafourche Street in Lockport. Upon arrival, deputies noticed the door to the residence was ajar, and they could see blood inside the residence. Deputies made entry and found bullet casings inside the residence, but no one was present.
Through investigation at the scene, deputies determined the suspected shooter to be Tony Clark of Lockport. They learned Clark and the victim had been arguing when Clark left the residence and returned a short time later with a firearm. Clark fired multiple shots, one of which struck the victim in the stomach. They also learned the victim, who resides at the same residence with Clark, had checked in to an emergency room at a nearby hospital. Following an investigation at the scene, detectives obtained a warrant for Clark's arrest for the charge of attempted second-degree murder with a bond of $250,000 as set by Judge John E. LeBlanc.
Investigators are asking for the public's help to locate Clark. He is described as 6'0" slender B/M and was last seen driving a gray 1991 Buick Century (sedan).
