Lawrence A. “Mr. Molly” Blanchard, Sr., 96, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Cut Off, LA went to meet his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 7. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Wednesday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Lawrence is survived by his son, Lawrence Blanchard, Jr. (Vicky); daughter, Caroline B. Schacht; grandchildren, Laurie, Craig, Mindy, Allen, Tommy, Crystal and Sharee; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Naquin Blanchard; parents, Emile and Edelia Duplantis Blanchard; and son, Danny Blanchard.
Lawrence was an employee of Dufrene’s bakery for 35 years and delivered bread from Golden Meadow to Cut Off.
Lawrence enjoyed fishing, dancing and gardening.
The family would like to thank Lady of the Sea Hospital for the awesome care provided to of Mr. Lawrence and his family.
