Lafourche Veterans Affairs Office to open Tuesday

On Tuesday, March 7th, the Lafourche Parish Government Complex in Mathews will open its doors to local Veterans that need assistance. Mrs. Kelli Woods will serve as the Veterans Assistance Counselor on behalf of the State.

“I’m happy to announce this new central location to better serve our Veterans. Having a local representative to talk with in person makes it so much easier to get help, especially with benefits and care," said Parish President Jimmy Cantrelle.

The office will be open every week on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Veterans Assistance Counselor is trained to help Veterans and their families apply for the benefits they have earned.
