Lafourche DA announces 2 murder indictments
Lafourche Parish District Attorney Kristine Russell announced today that two men have been indicted on murder charges.
Brandon Goudy was indicted by a grand jury on 2nd-degree murder charges on Monday. Goudy was arrested in Sept. 2019 for the murder of Tedrick Johnson in Thibodaux.
1st Assistnat DA Jennifer Richard presented the case to the Grand Jury, which decided to go forward with the indictment.
If convicted, Goudy faces a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
Goudy remains in custody on a $1 million bond.
Russell said that on Monday, a grand jury also indicted Kyron Bourda on 2nd-degree murder charges.
Bourda was arrested in Dec. 2018 for the murder of Rani Pinel.
Richard also presented that case to the grand jury. Like Goudy, Bourda faces mandatory life sentence without the possibility of probation, parole or suspension of sentence, if convicted.
Bourda is in jail without bond.
