Krewe Des Petite Lions children’s parade announce royalty
The Krewe Des Petite Lions Children’s Parade will roll through the Town of Golden Meadow on Sunday, February 12 beginning at 1 p.m. and will follow the traditional route on LA 1.
This year’s theme is Dr. Seuss and One Mask, Two Mask, Green Mask, Purple Mask.
Kaelyn Chouest will reign as queen of this year’s Krewe. She is the daughter of Bo and Kristy Chouest. Kaelyn is 12 and attends LCO Middle School. She is an active school band member with other interest at heart, which include Give Kids the World and an alter server at Sacred Heart Church. Her home hobbies are video games, golf carting, hoverboard, and spending time with family and friends. She loves animals and playing Pokemon Go.
The Grand Marshall of this year’s Krewe Des Petite Lions is Amrys Hebert.
Amrys is the 15-year-old daughter of Amanda Felarise and Sim Pertuit. She is a freshman at South Lafourche High School and is an active member of the Tarpon swim team, serving as their manager. Her interests are music and WWE wrestling.
