Irvin “Coon” Orgeron, 85, a native and resident of Lockport, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 Saturday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Frances C. Orgeron; grandchildren, Allison Orgeron Comeaux and husband Chris and Jaime Orgeron and companion Lance Griffin; 4 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and sisters, Rowena Dugan and Evelyn Adams.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Louise Parr Orgeron; son, Allen “Pookie” Orgeron; parents, Norman and Nora T. Orgeron; brother, Joseph “Lu Lu” Orgeron and sister, Doris Gass.
Coon was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was past Grand Knight and 4th degree Knight.
