Irish-American musician and songwriter to play one night only at Bayou Playhouse
St. Patrick's Day celebrations continue at the Bayou Playhouse when Internationally acclaimed Irish-American singer, storyteller, song writer, musician Danny O'Flaherty performs live in concert on Saturday March 28 at 8 p.m. for a one night only concert.
"Danny is an old friend who I've had the honor of working on my projects with," said Bayou Playhouse Artistic Director Perry Martin. "We were thrilled when he was able to add a date for the Playhouse during his current American tour."
The ballad traditions of Ireland have expanded through his efforts. In addition to performing concerts around the globe, Danny has provided an outlet for Irish musicians at his Irish Channel Center in New Orleans.
Danny's songs range from deep and soulful to silly and poetic. His vocal talent knows no bounds as he sings one style of music as beautifully as the next. From songs of the sea and glen to aching calls for tolerance and peace, Danny O'Flaherty's universal appeal as an artist rests on an unswerving commitment to the Celtic people throughout the world. This contemporary Irish balladeer emulates the honored bards carrying on a centuries' old tradition with every passionate note.
The Bayou Playhouse is located at 101 Main Street in Lockport. Tickets are $25 in advance online and $27 at the door. Reservations are highly recommended.
