Information sought on Christmas Day burglary

A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons wanted in connection to a residential burglary which occurred on Christmas Day.

Through investigation, Lafourche Parish detectives learned a residence in the 200 block of Bayou Crossing Drive in Mathews was burglarized on December 25, in the late afternoon. Detectives learned the burglary occurred sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. while the residents were away from the home.

Prescription medications and a safe box were taken from the residence. The safe box contained cash and important documents. A white male subject, believed to be in his late teens or early 20s, was spotted walking near the home around the time of the burglary carrying a safe box. The suspect was later picked up from the area by another male subject driving a blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck.

Surveillance cameras captured images of both individuals. Anyone who can identify these men, or anyone who may have information on this crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Bayou Region at 1-800-743-7433 or by texting "GIVEATIP" plus your message to 274637. Tips can also be submitted using the TipSubmit Mobile application or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org

Tipsters will remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 in cash if the information given leads to an arrest.
