Louisiana's Cajun Bayou Tourism announces new incentives for businesses and organizations who host events, meetings, and conferences in Lafourche Parish. Incentive opportunities include up to $1,000 given toward the organization hosting.

The incentives were announced at a breakfast hosted by Louisiana's Cajun Bayou Tourism, the Louisiana Office of Tourism, and Thibodaux Regional Health System. Local tourism officials from the Louisiana's Office of Tourism spoke about the importance of tourism to our economy. "Lafouche Parish continues to be creative and innovative in attracting a wide variety of organizations searching for a unique meeting experience, "said Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser. "Whether it's for business or pleasure the Cajun Bayou offers unique ways to accommodate visitors with welcoming hospitality, team building opportunities like crawfish boils, fishing excursions, bayou tours, and sights most wouldn't expect and will never forget that feed their souls."

The meeting was held in the Conference Center of Thibodaux Regional 's Wellness Center to showcase one of the venue options in Lafourche Parish equipped for hosting large groups. The state-of-the-art Center offers a variety of event space options and can accommodate groups from 10 to 400.

"We are happy to partner with Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser and the Louisiana's Cajun Bayou Tourism to help stimulate growth and interest in what the Bayou Region has to offer," said Thibodaux Regional Health System CEO, Greg Stock. "Lieutenant Governor Nungesser has shown interest in our region. We appreciate his support and the opportunity to work together."

"Thibodaux Regional is an economic stimulus to the region and our Wellness Center is an outstanding facility. We have received numerous compliments from organizations who have utilized the Center," continued Stock. "We look forward to working with others who are interested in coming to this region."

"Meetings and conferences have the potential to impact our economy as they draw in visitors who stay and spend money in our parish," said Timothy P. Bush, president and CEO of Louisiana's Cajun Bayou Tourism. "We are proud to be able to offer these new incentives and believe they will benefit these organizations as well as our parish. Lafourche Parish has a wonderful collection of experiences to offer both business and leisure travelers and this program aims to bring the two together."
