Inaugural Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana weekend promises back-to-back world-class racing action

Organizers of the inaugural 2015 Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana announced the schedule of on-track action. The three-day weekend, April 10-12, will feature 11 different races, showcasing the Verizon IndyCar Series, Pro Mazda presented by Cooper Tires, Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama and the Mazda MX-5 Cup Presented by BF-Goodrich Tires.

Saturday action kicks off with four support series qualifying sessions, Verizon IndyCar Series practice and qualifying; ultimately ending the day with four support series races. The main event takes place on Sunday, starting at 2:30 p.m.

Race fans will enjoy seeing the big names of the Verizon IndyCar Series, scheduled to include celebrated drivers such as defending series champion, Will Power; Dancing with the Stars winner and 3-time Indianapolis 500 champion, Helio Castroneves and defending Indianapolis 500 winner, Ryan Hunter-Reay, Sebastien Bourdais, James Hinchcliffe, Marco Andretti and Juan Pablo Montoya.

The Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana three-day weekend festival will take place April 10-12 and is hosted at NOLA Motorsports Park, in Avondale. The newly designed NOLA Motorsports Park facility will feature a 2.74-mile track with 13 turns.
