Here is a rundown of action taken during tonight’s Lafourche Parish Council meeting. All votes were unanimous unless otherwise noted. Councilman Jerry Lafont was absent.

ACTION: Accepted the minutes of the Sept. 24, 2019 Regular Session.

ACTION: Proclaimed Oct. 15, 2019 as Infant Loss Awareness Day.

ACTION: Approved a servitude agreement with Lawrence Daigle, Deanna O. Daigle.

ACTION: Approved a joint resolution by U. S. Representative Francis Rooney and U. S. Senator Ted Cruz introducing an amendment to the United States Constitution limiting terms on members of Congress.

ACTION: Authorized the council clerk to advertise for requests for proposals for an auditing firm to provide for an annual financial and compliance audit of the financial statements of the parish.

ACTION: Appointed Kyle Williams to the Lafourche Parish Tourist Commission representing the Town of Golden Meadow.

ACTION: Appointed Jake Cheramie to the Lafourche Parish Game and Fish Commission Board.

ACTION: Appointed Jake Cheramie to the Housing Authority of Lafourche Parish Board.

ACTION: Appointed Damian Folse to the Recreation District No. 3 Board.

ACTION: Appointed Kysha Shinall to the Fire Protection District No. 8-B Board.

ACTION: Approved Amendment No. 3 to the agreement between the Louisiana Office of Community Development and Lafourche Parish Government for the assistance in the execution of the Hurricane Isaac Parish Hazard Mitigation Assistance LMI Cost Share Program.

ACTION: Approved a 1-year agreement between Arthur J. Gallagher Risk Management Services, Inc. for a commercial insurance package as quoted.

ACTION: Approved the purchase of one 2020 Ford Transit T250 Cargo Van for $29,817.25 for the Lafourche Parish Library.

ACTION: Accepted the proposal from Acadian Total Security for $29,980 for add-ons to the existing security system needed for the Thibodaux Library Addition Project.

ACTION: Accepted a proposal Forefront Emergency Management, L.P. for assessment and determination of regulatory requirements pertaining to Spill Prevention, Control & Countermeasure Plans and Spill Prevention Control Plans.

ACTION: Approved Change Order No. 1 from B.E.T. Construction, Inc., for the “Additions & Renovations to the Lafourche Parish Library-Thibodaux Branch” to increase the contract price by $741.61 and add five additional days to the contract time.

ACTION: Authorized (5) Lafourche Parish Government employees to purchase surplus Federal property from Louisiana Federal Property Assistance Agency.
