Humane Society seeking pet item donations

The Lafourche Chapter of the Humane Society of Louisiana is asking for  help to care for the area’s homeless furry friends, including cats, dogs, horses, reptiles, and many other animals.

The Lafourche Chapter is asking for donations of much needed items to care for homeless animals and will be collecting these items throughout December. Items can be dropped off for collection at the South Lafourche Public Library, 16241 E. Main Street in Cut Off and at the Golden Meadow Public Library, 1403 N. Bayou Drive beginning December 1.

Needed items include food, hay for horses, toys, leashes, collars, litter boxes, water bowls, bleach and any kind of cleaning supplies, cages of all sizes, kennels, treats, wire mesh for cages and barbed wire for fencing. Monetary donations are also welcome. For more information or to arrange pick-up, contact Pamela George at 985-258-6163.
