Groundskeeping Equipment Stolen from Golf Club

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for stealing around $48,000 of groundskeeping equipment from a golf club's equipment barn this past weekend.

Detectives responded to La Tour Golf Club on the morning of Saturday, May 2 after workers noticed several items missing from the equipment barn located along LA Highway 308 in Mathews.

The burglars had cut through locks, which secured the building in order to gain entry. Among the items stolen were a Kubota utility vehicle, a John Deer Zero-Turn professional mower, and a flat-bed trailer approximately 20 feet in length. The total value of the equipment is approximately $48,000.

Detectives are asking for the public's help to solve this case.
