Golden Meadow Historical Center reopens after renovations
The Golden Meadow Historical Center, located within the Golden Meadow Branch Library, 1403 N. Bayou Drive, has reopened after an extensive expansion. New showcases in the original museum have been added.
The museum now has a nice sitting area where one can browse through the museum’s many picture albums or simply sit and visit. There is a pictorial exhibit on the history of our area’s trawl boats, oilfield, oyster boats, and trapping, along with many new individual and group pictures.
Our area’s military are also honored with more than 350 pictures.
If you have visited the museum before, come again. If you have not, drop by soon.
The entrance to the museum is through the library, and the museum is open during library hours.
Large or small group tours can be accommodated by calling the Golden Meadow Branch Library at (985) 475-5660.
The Golden Meadow Historical Center would like to thank its sponsors, the Lafourche Parish Public Library and the Town of Golden Meadow.
