Five people were arrested as a result of an investigation into the recent theft of a personal watercraft. Tilden Billiot Jr., 46, of Cut Off, Amber Carter, 26, of Thibodaux, Kendall Hebert, 29, of Grand Isle, as well as Thomas Cedotal Jr., 40, and Christopher Doiron, 29, both of Galliano, all face charges stemming from the investigation.
In early September, detectives began investigating a case wherein a Sea-Doo personal watercraft and trailer were stolen in Galliano. In late September, they discovered the watercraft and trailer at a Galliano resident’s property.
Through investigation, detectives learned Christopher Doiron had transported the stolen watercraft to the property after obtaining the items from Tilden Billiot after several parts of the watercraft were removed.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for Billiot’s property on East 75th Street in Cut Off and, with the help of patrol deputies and narcotics agents, conducted the search on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 29.
Several individuals were present at Billiot’s residence. During the search, investigators discovered parts from the stolen watercraft, counterfeit motor vehicle inspection stickers, methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and drug paraphernalia. They also discovered many various items believed to be stolen property.
Detectives determined Cedatol and Billiot were directly involved with the watercraft theft, along with Doiron.
Two others present, Hebert and Carter, were found to be in possession of drugs, including methamphetamine and suboxone. All five were arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux.
Cedatol was ultimately charged with felony possession of stolen things, forgery, possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a legend drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also found to have four outstanding warrants. His bond was set at $41,250, and he is also being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole.
Billiot was charged with felony possession of stolen things and possession of drug paraphernalia, and his bond was set at $10,000.
Doiron was charged with felony possession of stolen things, and his bond was also set at $10,000.
Hebert was booked with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. His bond was set at $25,000, and he is also being held for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. Carter was charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of suboxone, and her bond was set at $12,500.
