Emma Pitre Touro, 91, a native of Lockport, died on Saturday, November 12. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday, November 19 at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Mathews. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church with burial to follow in the church mausoleum.
She is survived by her niece and caretaker, Annette Bourgeois and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert P. Touro; parents, Clarence and Ismae Savoie Pitre; siblings, Gertrude Bourgeois, Genevieve Broussard, Florence Eschette, Marion Chiasson, Anna Mae Breaux, Frances, Anna, Donald, Floyd, Hudson, Bobby, Leslie, and Gerald Pitre.
She was a lifetime member of Raceland Memorial American Legion and VFW Auxiliary; they will say a prayer for her at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
