Ella Mae Griffin Schouest, 85, a native and resident of Cut Off passed away Friday June 19, 2015.

Visitation will take place on Monday June 22, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off from 5:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday June 23, at Christian Fellowship Church from 8:00 a.m. till service time. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with burial following in Cheramie Cemetery.

Mrs. Ella is survived by her children, Judy Callais (James), Larry James Schouest (Dolly), and Penny St. Pierre (Timmy); 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Gilbert Griffin, Eldon Griffin, Ordoyne Griffin, and sister, Rosemary Cheramie.

Mrs. Schouest was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Dodo” Schouest; parents, Armand and Linda C. Griffin; brother, Albert Griffin, and sister, Ambrosina “Boy” Toups.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 259, and was a kind and helpful person who was very dedicated and active in her Church and community.
