Edith Richoux Bailey, a native of Golden Meadow and a resident of Larose passed away on January 21, 2013.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 23 at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off with burial immediately following in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
She is survived by brother, John Richeaux of Larose and by many generations of loving nieces and nephews and their families in both Louisiana and in Houston, TX.
She will also be remembered by her many devoted friends in the South Lafourche area.
She was preceded in death by husband, Joe Bailey of Houston; parents, Eva Marie and Elson Richoux; sisters, Gladys Pollock and Mable Tucker of Houston and Elenore Richoux of Cut Off; brothers, Evans (Vin) Richoux, Ernest Richoux, Steve Richoux and Clarence Richeaux all of Louisiana.
“Blackie”, as she was fondly known to her family and friends, was a devoted and caring daughter, sister and aunt to many, who loved life and lived it to the fullest.
The family would like to express its gratitude to the Broadway Assisted Living Facility for their loving care and companionship in her final years.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off was in charge of the arrangements.
