Duo busted for meth, stolen items recovered
At around 11:20 p.m. last Sunday, September 20, deputies patrolling the Galliano area observed a suspicious person near the west bank of Bayou Lafourche.
Deputies identified him as Gary Kiger, 44, of Larose. Deputies found Kiger to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Deputies also made contact with a female, identified as Chrisy Rousse, 37, of Cut Off, who was sitting in a vehicle nearby and found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Deputies also discovered Kiger to be in possession of several items he had allegedly stolen that evening while visiting an acquaintance’s residence. In all, deputies recovered approximately $1,000 in stolen property and 8.6 grams of methamphetamine.
Rousse and Kiger were booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. Rousse is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
Kiger was additionally charged with Felony Theft, and his bond was set at $11,000.
