In other action from the Tuesday, February 12 Parish Council meeting (all votes unanimous unless noted with Luci Sposito and Michael Gros absent):

-- Held a special meeting to approve a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Parish and Proven Fuel-Houma, LLC for purging a pipeline for the Cyprien Pump Station Project in Raceland;

-- Approved minutes of three previous Council meetings on September 11, September 25 and October 1, 2018;

-- Heard a proclamation from Parish President Jimmy Cantrelle declaring February 22, 2019 as Paint the Parish Purple Day;

-- Entered Executive Session to settle a Worker’s Compensation Claim (LCA-0009962);

-- Heard an engineering report on several projects by Dustin Rabalais of T. Baker Smith, LLC.;

-- Rejected an ordinance rescinding Ordinance No. 3480 which pertains to those entities which supervise, manage and direct the Community Action Agency and its Executive Director (Vote was 2-5 with Lorraine and Jones in favor, and Autin, Melvin, Jaccuzzo, Perrillioux and Lafont against);

-- Passed an ordinance approving a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Dept. of Transportation (DOTD) and the Parish for the donation of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement;

-- Passed an ordinance providing for a 2019 Supplemental Appropriation to carry forward and de-obligate the budget balance of completed “Westside Drainage Improvements CDBG Project” and transfer remaining funds to Gustav/Ike CDGB Budget;

-- Passed an ordinance amending the 2018 budget as it pertains to the salaries of two Head Start 2 Teachers;

-- Passed an ordinance amending the 2019 budget as it pertains to providing a 2% COLA increase in the salaries of two Head Start 2 Teachers and other unclassified employees in the Parish;

-- Passed a resolution creating a Solid Waste Committee composed of Councilmen Jerry Jones, Corey Perrillioux and Daniel Lorraine to review the current Solid Waste contract and make recommendation to the full Council for the next five-year contract;

-- Passed two resolutions requesting DOTD to repaint road striping on LA 1 and LA 308 from Larose, LA south;

-- Approved the reappointment of Sherry Robichaux to the Animal Shelter Advisory Board;

-- Approved Amendment No. 3 to the agreement between the Parish and T. Baker Smith, LLC for the Cyprien Pump Station Improvements project (Vote was 6-1 with Lorraine voting against);

-- Rescinded Resolution No. 18-137 that accepted the low quote of American Disposal, LLC for $4,850.00 concerning the demolition of a condemned structure at 17409 East Main St., Galliano, LA;

-- Approved a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Parish and South Louisiana Economic Council for FY 2019 service fees in the amount of $25,000.00;

-- Approved a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement for all Senior Citizens Centers to continue the “Lafourche on the Move” program;

-- Approved a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Parish and the Cut Off Youth Center to provide funding for improvements and recreation in the amount of $30,000.00;

-- Approved a grant application for $60,8678.00 for the purpose of a cost of living adjustment for all Lafourche Parish Head Start Staff;

-- Heard a monthly report by the Department of Public Works on ongoing drainage improvements in the Parish.
