Cleophas J. “Fed” Duet, 91, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, passed away at 9:32 a.m. on April 18, 2013.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow on Monday, April 22 from 9 a.m. till funeral time. Military honors will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by the United Veterans League. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
He is survived by wife of 45 years, Mae H. Duet; step son, Darryl Orgeron; step sisters, Louella Duet, Flora Mae Duet; 6 step grandchildren and 9 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Mildred V. Duet; parents, Xavier and Julie Callais Duet; step son, Leonce R. Orgeron; brother, Linton A. Duet, Sr.
He was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, D.A.V., VFW, and the American Legion.
