Chase Edward Esponge, 48, a native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off passed away on May 23, 2013.
Visitation took place at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano on Sunday, May 26 from 5 p.m. till 9 p.m. and on Monday, May 27 from 9 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. with a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by wife of 30 years, Wanda Lee Esponge; son, Blake Antony Esponge and wife Lacey Bertrand Esponge; parents, Darryl Esponge and Gladys Duet Esponge; paternal grandparents, Lynwood and Irma Callais Esponge; brothers, Chuck Esponge and wife Misty Cormier Esponge; sisters, Angela Esponge, Dana Esponge, Brandi Gaspard and husband Wesley; nieces, Lindsey Cheramie, Hannah Esponge and niece, Sadie Gaspard; great niece and nephew Jadie and Jay Lefort; Godparents, Marilyn Parks and Wiley Duet and Godchildren, Dwayne “DJ” Garlington, Jr, Blaine Gisclair and Hannah Esponge.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Wilfred Duet and Jeannette Thibodeaux Duet.
He was the owner/operator of Chase Trucking and enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling and spending time with family and friends, cruises and parties.
