The Lafourche Chamber of Commerce awarded its 2013 Employee of the Year last week at their annual Employee Appreciation Crawfish Boil.
Over 200 employees and their employers attended the annual event held at the Cut Off Youth Center.
“Each year, the Chamber takes pride in its annual Employee Appreciation Crawfish Boil for its membership, where businesses have an opportunity to recognize their dedicated employees,” said Lin Kiger, Lafourche Chamber President and CEO. “We look forward to this event every year!”
The following individuals were recognized as nominees from their employers:
- April Danos – Greater Lafourche Port Commission
- Randi Lowe – Larose Regional Park & Civic Center
- Sharon St. Pierre – South Lafourche Bank
- David Cheramie – Vision Communications
Danos was honored as the 2013 Employee of the Year. She is a “dedicated, loyal employee that is an invaluable member of our Executive Team at the Greater Lafourche Port Commission” said her nominator, Chett Chiasson, Executive Director of the Greater Lafourche Port Commission.
“Over the last sixteen and a half years, April has worked her way up from her initial secretary duties to Information Technology Director,” added Chiasson.
