'Catch me if you can': Police capture Louisiana fugitive
HAMMOND, La. (AP) — Police say they have arrested a fugitive who had taunted law enforcement and spent about a year on the lam.
Multiple media outlets report that about one year ago, law enforcement officials were looking for Jovaughn Jackson, now 20 years old, for violating his parole. While searching his house, police found a note that read, "Catch me if you can."
Jackson became the Hammond Police Department's most wanted person with 21 outstanding felony warrants.
Police say they found Jackson early Monday morning hiding in a house's crawl space while authorities were surveilling homes in a neighborhood where they believed Jackson to be.
Officers arrested Jackson on seven burglary counts, eight firearms counts and various other felonies.
