Brothers Arrested for Stealing in Separate Incidents on Same Street
Two brothers have been arrested for separate stealing crimes that occurred on the same street in Larose. Dustin Allen, 19, and Dezman Allen, 18, both of 204 Sunny Acres Drive in Larose, were arrested this week following investigations into separate incidents.
On Wednesday, June 18, deputies responded to a report of a burglary on Gaspard Drive in Larose. During the burglary, over $1,000 in cash was allegedly stolen along with prescription medication.
Through investigation, detectives developed Dezman Allen as a suspect and brought him in for questioning on Monday, June 23. During questioning, Allen confessed to his involvement and he was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he was booked with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, a felony. He was released late Monday night after posting $25,000 bond as had been set by Judge Walter I. Lanier III.
On Thursday, June 19, deputies responded to a theft complaint at a residence on Gaspard Drive where 12 containers of herbicide were stolen from a carport. Through investigation, detectives developed Dustin Allen as a suspect in that crime and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On Tuesday, June 24, detectives located Allen and placed him under arrest. He was transported to the Detention Center and booked with felony theft. He is currently being held in lieu of $10,000 bond as set by Judge Lanier. He is additionally being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole.
