Boil advisory lifted for customers south of Lockport
The Boil Water Advisory was lifted as of 2 p.m. today for all Lafourche Parish Water District customers living south of the Lockport Water Treatment Plant.
Samples analyzed by DHH indicate that the Lafourche Parish Water District’s boil water advisory can be lifted. All residents who were in the affected area can resume normal water consumption at this time.
Due to a power failure at the Lafourche Parish Water District's South Treatment Plant, water pressures momentarily dropped below acceptable levels between Lockport and Valentine. Out of an abundance of caution, the Lafourche Parish Water District is issued a boil adversary Saturday evening for all customers south of the Lockport Water Treatment Plant. The advisory was lifted at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 29.
