A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 26th at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Betty Eymard Savoie, 79, a resident and native of Galliano, who passed away on March 22, 2013 at 9:05 a.m.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. on Monday, March 25th and on Tuesday, March 26th from 8:30 a.m. till 9:45 a.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano with services followed at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.

She is survived by sons, Anthony Ellis Savoie and wife Susan, Nicki Paul Savoie and wife Lisa; brother, Ray Eymard; sisters, Barbara Berthelot and Sue Galjour; grandchildren, Sandra Wright, Dr. Christian Savoie, Dr. Stephanie Taunton, Suzette Savoie, Antoinette Savoie, Mitchell Savoie, Madeline Savoie; great grandchild, Laney Taunton.

She was preceded by husband, Ames Joseph Savoie; parents, Loveless and Georgina Danos Eymard; and sister, Helen Martin.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Alter Society. She was the first librarian at the Galliano Branch of the Lafourche Parish Library where she was fondly remembered as Mrs. Betty. She was an avid bowler.
