Baton Rouge company among 10 getting federal contract

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The Pentagon says a Baton Rouge company is among 10 around the country which will get work cleaning up toxic, hazardous and radioactive waste for the federal government.

A news release Thursday says CB&I Federal Services LLC was also among 10 applying for the work over the Internet. The other companies are in California, Colorado, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Nebraska and Virginia.

The work for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Environmental Protection Agency will total up to $185 million.

The cost and location will be decided with each order, and work is to be completed by Jan. 7, 2020.
