Armand Autin to reign over the December 7th Christmas parade.
Fire Chief Armand Autin has been chosen to serve as the 22nd Annual Lockport Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Festivities Grand Marshal.
Autin, a native of the Central Lafourche area, is a 1987 graduate of Central Lafourche High School. He graduated in 1992 from Nichols State University with a BS in Marine Biology and a BS in Manufacturing Engineering in 2009.
Autin and his wife Nichole Leblanc Autin are the proud parents of three children, Joseph, Ally and Bud and one grandchild Joseph Autin, Jr. He is the son of Armand and Patsy Autin of Lockport and Peggy and Steve Folse of Raceland.
Armand is presently serving his second term as Fire Chief of the Lockport Volunteer Fire Department where he has been an active member for 22 years and is presently employed as the Plant Manager for Valentine Chemicals.
He and his wife Nikki are also owners of Just Do It Lawn Care Service and Cleaning.
Armand has been an active member of the community serving, besides Fire Chief, as President of the Lockport Food Festival, board member of Lafourche Parish Recreation District #1, and a member of the Lockport Rotary Club, Lockport Knights of Columbus Council 3054, Community Crusaders, Captain for the annual BTNEP Bayou Lafourche Cleanup, American Legion Post 83 in Lockport, and U.S. Marine Corp.
Armand is also a combat Veteran and a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League Bayou Parish Detachment.
Grand Marshal Autin invites everyone to join him for the Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Festivities on Saturday, December 7th beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Anyone wishing to participate in the parade must fill out the appropriate application forms and return them to the Lockport Town Hall by Monday, December 2nd at 5 p.m.
